Your NFC Championship Game is Former Redskins Assistant Coach Kyle Shanahan vs Former Redskins Assistant Coach Matt LaFleur #FireBruceAllenAgain

Two head coaches on the way to the NFC championship game and the future NFL MVP all in one picture. Oh, and who isn’t pictured in this photo? Sean McVay, of course. Good times, man. Good times. Having Kyle, LaFleur, and McVay all on the same coaching staff and retaining none of them is Bruce Allen’s legacy. Dan Snyder sat back and let so many bright young coaches leave and did nothing about it. And now they are 3 of the best coaches in the game, with one of Shanny or LaFleur making this year’s Super Bowl, the year after McVay. How awesome is that?!

I like where the Skins coaching staff is at….now. I like Riverboat Ron. I have heard great things about Scotty Turner’s ability to run an offense. And I look forward to seeing what Jack Del Rio can do with the defense. Which by the way, that defense next year should be nasty. On one side you have 6’6, 260 pound, 4.4 40 time Montez Sweat and on the other side you have The Predator Chase Young, and they’ll be surrounded by Jonathan Allen, Daron Payne, Matt Ioannidis, Cole Holcomb and Ryan Anderson? Get me another CB and a safety and this is a top 5 defense in the league.

So hey, it could be worse. We took the un-scenic route to putting together a coaching staff. But I like the way they look, for now.

And by the way, I think I’m rooting for the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl? I think? I don’t want to root for Rodgers, San Fran kinda bores me, and actually now that I think about it I wouldn’t mind the Titans either because Vrabel seems really awesome and Tannehill winning a Super Bowl would delight me. So go AFC, go.
